Since an early age I have been in some form or shape doing this, it's not a family business but its one I grew up doing.  As a younger fellow, I made this my full time job and built Providence Produce.  I operated that company for around 17  years.  Providence was a great concept but ultimately it was my choice to downsize and simplify into what is now Union Market.  That was one of the best decisions of my life, the other two ill tell you about some other time:)

As a small business owner, my time is spent doing a bit of everything but one of the aspects that I would consider the most enjoyable is the adventures that this hunt for produce takes you in.  Being successful in this business (and not spending hours in traffic) requires getting up early.  Many mornings I am back and unloading before most people finish their first cup of coffee.

Creating and maintaining great experiences for customers, suppliers, growers and employees is my goal, if you have any concerns I ask that you reach out to me personally.
